  • Our first time visiting the outlet here in Alam Sutra. Typical traditional Javanese cuisine. Fried chicken, fish, shrimp, beef meat, beancurd, fofu etc. Served with spicy sambal in a bowl. By far, we can only describe that this is the best outlet compare to our usual outlet in Fatmawati and BSD. Food menu is the same with other outlet. But somehow, tastier, the sambal was spicier and the portion larger (in my opinion). Places in a two storey building with open window on 2nd floor with plastic shield between tables, which is good during pandemic. The crews were also nice and polite. Great outlet overall!

  • More like typical sundanese food but in modern place. They have iga penyet, the meat quite tender and the sambal is not too hot. We came on sunday, we need to fill the waiting list while choosing the foods. The queue not that long. Overall good!

  • I tried the Ayam Bakar Bumbu Rujak , fried tempeh , and one rice with sweet tea. I love the sambal, it has a unique taste compared to the Rujak sauce itself. I recommend to choos without rujak instead

  • Warung Bu Kris - 4.9⭐ Disclaimer! This restaurant originated from city called Surabaya in East Java, so it really suit my taste. Don’t know how many times have been here. Have tried probably almost all of their menu from the variety of fried chicken, ducks, ribs, soups, soto, rawon, gado-gado, and so on. My most basic go to menu are penyetan kecil which includes one fried chicken, meatball, egg, tofu and shredded beef. Taste overall good and the sambal terasi was out of this world. Add with veggies soup, while its pretty simple but taste like home. Warm yet tasty. Gado-gado here are called gado-gado siram so the peanut sauce was actually cooked in coconut milk before served with tofu lettuce bean sprout. Taste great also. Ayam bakar bumbu rujak here also recommended. It was full of spices kicks and very tasty. If you like spicy food its might suit you well! Will definitely be back again

  • Nice and delicious traditional Indonesian food, Javanese in particular.

  • Love the ayam penyet here, the chilli is perfection. Got the ayam penyet pedas sedang, was so good I ran out of chilli. The tahu tempe is solid, ayam goreng is on the larger size, all freshly fried. Combined with es teh tawar, this is a great meal. Also got the sayur asem, good amount of sourness with a hint of sweetness.

  • The food is more to Javanese food, so there’s a hint of sweet flavor on the food. But overall, the taste was so so good, especially the sambal. The protein was ok, but if combined with the sambal, it’s super delicious. We ordered the rawon as well, the taste was tasty and also the tahu telor very good. The health protocol to avoid covid-19 also very good. Overall super satisfied, will come back.

  • Had lunch at Bu Kris Alam Sutera and tried a few of their menu items. Paket Ayam Bakar Bu Kris was really good — juicy and flavorful (8/10). The Garang Asem soup was comforting and nicely balanced (8/10). Gado-gado and Tempe & Tahu Penyet were decent and satisfying (7/10 each). Warm jeruk nipis was okay, a bit average (6/10). Even though it was a busy lunch hour, the service was quite good — staff stayed friendly and responsive, which is always a plus. Seating is a bit narrow, and there was a fairly long queue during lunchtime, so expect a short wait. Overall, a solid spot for lunch with reasonable prices and reliable Indonesian comfort food.
